What is meditation?

sri-chinmoy-meditate-2.jpgMeditation is essentially learning how to disengage from the mind and the everyday world so that we can find other means of experiencing ourselves in ways that are free from all of the so-called conditionings of the world.

For just 15 to 20 minutes at the beginning of each day we can enter into a calm, peaceful inner space deep inside the being, then carry this peace with us into our various activities.

Meditation gives us an understanding of both our limitations and strengths as human beings. It diminishes the limitations and increases our capacities, and along the way we may even discover some hidden capacities we didn’t realise we had.

Looking for solutions in the right place

We are all the time looking for solutions in the outer world to fix our life. But meditation demonstrates that we have all the answers deep down inside. It is quite simple — first we need to know where to look; then we need to develop techniques that give us access to this inner knowledge.

In a busy and complex world, meditation is a moment of stillness we can experience within ourselves daily that unlocks the door to inner freedom and infinite potential. It is all at once peaceful, exhilarating, joyful and healing.

When you unlock the inner door, your life will never be the same again. Our classes and techniques teach you that you have the key, they show you the door, then they invite you inside to explore your own inner universe and discover things unimaginable!

Meditation
Is peace in the mind
And bliss in the heart.
